Moving Forward: Aligning & Strengthening Alberta's Continuing Care System
Innovation serves as the cornerstone for progress, while ingenuity fuels the creative problem-solving needed to navigate the evolving landscape. As Alberta undergoes a system transformation, this year’s conference provides a unique opportunity to learn together, share insights, and embrace new approaches to care delivery.
This theme focuses on practical strategies to address critical challenges such as workforce shortages, care complexity, and system inefficiencies while leveraging innovative approaches where they add value. With the launch of Alberta’s new Continuing Care Agency, the conference underscores the urgency of implementing tangible solutions that align with and strengthen the sector’s transformation.
Are we doing enough to address the complexities of care and workforce challenges in a way that drives real, measurable outcomes? What role can innovation play in creating a more integrated, responsive, and sustainable system? These questions, among others, will be explored through engaging plenary discussions, speaker sessions, and collaborative networking events.
We will examine how the integration of data, interoperability, and collaborative efforts are pivotal to overcoming barriers and ensuring Alberta’s continuing care sector remains adaptable to the evolving needs of Albertans. Guest speakers will highlight local and global innovations, focusing on how Alberta can harness technology, infrastructure, and workforce development to advance care delivery and support ongoing transformation.
